Turfu is the collaboration between Raphaël Decoster and Matthieu Souchet. Raphaël is an accomplished musician in the traditional and folk scene, but is also interested in electronic music. Matthieu, on the other hand, comes from this very scene as well as from jazz.

The name Turfu is an anagram for futur, i.e. future. Raphaël and Matthieu name passion, ecstasy, and drunkenness as the themes of their music, and they like to label it as “cosmic”. They translate these Dionysian themes into sometimes rustic, sometimes wild melodies, combining traditional dance music with techno and handmade with digital sounds, all with just one goal: to get people dancing.
